Welcome to this course. That most likely means that you are developing an ATMP or are closely involved with it. Most probably, you dream that your ATMP will give patients a better and, above all, healthier life. But the road from research for a high-quality ATMP in the laboratory to its final administration to patients worldwide is long and not without problems. That requires a good strategy. Just like with any other planning, for example when you want to take a trip or when you are going to build a house, it is important to first think about where you want to go, what you want to achieve, what you can and cannot do and what it takes to reach your goal. This also applies to your ATMP. It’s important to ask yourself a few questions. By answering these questions, you will create a strategic vision with concrete end goals. Only then, you can start planning. However, just as you must prepare documents and formalities for your trip or obtain a building permit for your new home, your ATMP must comply with a number of rules and conditions.
